About Us
The Brewster Inn is a B&B in a historic property that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We have been lovingly restoring the home since 2007 making it the best possible for our guests while still honoring the history of the home. We have 9 guestrooms, each with their own private bathroom and various amenities. The Brewster family home was remodeled in 1934 for Governor & U.S. Congressman/ U.S. Senator Ralph Owen Brewster and his wife Dorothy. One of Maine's most famous architect, John Calvin Stevens, designed the rebuild. Mrs. Brewster choose him because he had previously remodeled the governor's mansion in Augusta. The house has been featured on HGTV's 'If Walls Could Talk'. Senator Brewster was also portrayed by Alan Alda in the multi Oscar winning movie ''The Aviator.'' The house has had many historic visitors over the years, including Presidents Truman & Taft, various other political and Hollywood figures, including Louis Mayer of MGM. We have a large living room, screen porch and covered back patio for guests to enjoy. We are located 20 mins off I-95.
