15th Annual Guilford, Maine town wide yard sale
This is the 15th year that Guilford is hosting the town wide yard sale. Residents of Guilford and a few from surrounding towns are all having yard sales during this weekend. The list is published on Facebook as well as available at local stores or you can contact Julie Porter-Chase at 207-343-1010.
2024 Monson Summerfest
Monson Summerfest will be fun for that whole family!! Lots to do and see with a craft fair, demonstrations, contest, family friendly activities and more!! Fireworks will be held at the end of the night!
70's Disco Party!
Fitness-Zumba mash-up! Come boogie to your favorite 70's hits with 9 instructors from Community Fitness and the PRYMCA. Instructors will guide the crowd through a 70's playlist for fitness and dancing! Stay on your feet the whole time, or seats will be provided for breaks.
Annual Mtg - Sebec Lake Assn
Sebec Lake Association will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, July 13 at 9:30 am. We will have a guest from the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District speaking about LakeSmart, a free educational program on what camp owners can do to minimize the risk of chemical runoff into the lake.
ARTIST’S BOOKS AND THE MONSON LANDSCAPE
Monson Arts is hosting ''Foreground, Middle Ground, Background: Artist’s Books and the Monson Landscape'' with Rebecca Goodale. Students of all levels are welcome. We will explore the beauty around us and add to it our imaginations as we design and make star books, flags books, theater books and dioramas. These books will become a suite of keepsakes marking our time together at Monson Arts.
Barefoot Brotherhood at Bissell Brothers Three Rivers
For the last few years, Barefoot Brotherhood have been playing around Maine putting there own style and spin on the music of the Grateful Dead and Phish.
Bean Supper
Joseph P Chaisson American Legion Post 41 has baked bean suppers every second Saturday of the month. Suggested donation $10 Adult $5 children 12 and under. Meal includes Homemade baked beans, coleslaw, (ham or pulled pork or sausage w/onions & peppers) biscuit, dessert & beverage.
Benefit Dinner and Dance for Monson's Finn Hall
The Monson Finnish Farmers will be celebrating Juhannus - Midsummer with a dinner of Finnish foods (Finnish meatballs, ham, potatoes, cucumber salad, dessert) from 4:30 - 6:30 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Juhannus is a celebration of the Summer Solstice and is an important holiday in Finland. It is a time for family and friends to gather to celebrate nature and summer. Following the dinner, a Finn Dance will begin at 7PM featuring The Oystermen.
