Fitness-Zumba mash-up! Come boogie to your favorite 70's hits with 9 instructors from Community Fitness and the PRYMCA. Instructors will guide the crowd through a 70's playlist for fitness and dancing! Stay on your feet the whole time, or seats will be provided for breaks.

Joseph P Chaisson American Legion Post 41 has baked bean suppers every second Saturday of the month. Suggested donation $10 Adult $5 children 12 and under. Meal includes Homemade baked beans, coleslaw, (ham or pulled pork or sausage w/onions & peppers) biscuit, dessert & beverage.
The Monson Finnish Farmers will be celebrating Juhannus - Midsummer with a dinner of Finnish foods (Finnish meatballs, ham, potatoes, cucumber salad, dessert) from 4:30 - 6:30 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Juhannus is a celebration of the Summer Solstice and is an important holiday in Finland. It is a time for family and friends to gather to celebrate nature and summer. Following the dinner, a Finn Dance will begin at 7PM featuring The Oystermen.

Monson Arts is hosting ''Building a Painting'' with Maine painter Alan Bray For beginner to intermediate painters with a basic knowledge of drawing and painting Tempera, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, or drawing. This workshop will deal with the progression of making a painting from the initial impulse to the final execution of the work. We will examine the process of thinking, editing, refining, and developing a strategy and process for building a painting.

We are dancing this Friday, June 14 at the contra dance in Dover-FoxcroftTraditional New England contra dance at the Central Hall Commons, 152 East Main Street, Dover-Foxcroft, 04426, from 7-10 pm. Fun and friendly folks and wonderful dances! Music will be provided by our wonderful local contra dance band, Some Reel People.
Monson Arts in Partnership with Maine Audubon at Borestone Mountain hosts ''Exploring Borestone’s Mountains, Ponds, and Old Growth Forests through nature journaling, storytelling, and artistic expression.'' For Advanced Creatives who work in any art form and would like to enrich their engagement with nature. This special three-day retreat and workshop is designed to deepen creative engagement with the Maine woods, and immerse participants in the older forests and crystalline ponds of Borestone Mountain. It’s an opportunity to explore a unique ecosystem, from the lilliputian mosses and lichens to the panoramic views of Borestone’s summit. Open to artists, writers, and creatives, who draw inspiration from the natural world, we will traverse an unimproved road and take a short boat ride to access Maine Audubon’s Borestone Mountain Lodge.
