THESE COMPLICATED WOODS- Paintings by Roberta Weaver Jarvis
Monson Arts - an art center and artist residency program located in Monson, Maine hosts local Monson artist, Roberta Weaver Jarvis, for our winter Gallery Exhibition. A reception will be held Saturday Dec 7th from 4pm - 6pm to enjoy the delightful and wonderous worlds that Roberta creates with her unique styles.
Roberta graduated from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA. Her recent work has taken a non-objective or abstract turn toward compiled reflections of living in the less populated area of Piscataquis County. Her concepts and techniques have been strengthened with forty-five years of steady painting and sales. During the long winters of Maine, Roberta favors water-based painting and experimenting with mixed media most rewarding.
Roberta and her husband Robert, reside in Monson, Maine on the shores of Lake Hebron. The
diverse beauty found in Northern Maine woods holds endless possibilities for creative thinking,
inciting her to continue her love of design and painting into her senior years, drawing inspiration from the community with the many artists and musicians around her county.
These Complicated Woods is on view through April 20th, 2025. The Monson Arts Gallery is located at 8 Greenville Road, Monson Maine and is currently open daily from 12pm-5pm. Hours may change in mid-winter. Please check monsonarts.org/gallery for updates.
