Description
Piscataquis County Soil & Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) will be teaming up with the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) and hosting a guided snowshoe on Saturday February 28th from 1-3PM at AMC's Barnard Forest! A GPS point will be provided after registration is completed. There is a weather date planned for March 1st from 1-3PM.
This event is open to all, no matter what your experience is with snowshoeing, and is family-friendly. We are looking forward to introducing folks to this wonderful property, which is open for the public to enjoy many recreational activities on. We will enjoy a snowshoe in the woods, look for wildlife tracks, and talk about the history of the Barnard Forest. There will be something for everyone!
Registration is required. The registration fee supports Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District educational programming.
