Declaration of Independence Tour

While it may not be Paul Revere riding through Lexington, Massachusetts, a significant piece of history is on its way to Dover-Foxcroft! Starting September 3rd, the Jim Robinson Field House at Foxcroft Academy will become the home of the Dunlap Broadside Declaration of Independence!

In partnership with the Maine Historical Society, Foxcroft Academy is excited to host the original copy of the Declaration of Independence from September 3rd to September 5th. There will be educational activities for local schools, as well as numerous public viewing opportunities where you can learn about this important historical period.

Every county in Maine will have a chance to view this remarkable document over the coming months, but this is the only opportunity to see it in Piscataquis County. Don’t miss your chance to see it up close!
