Description
Piscataquis County Soil & Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) will be hosting our 5th annual Chainsaw Safety Workshop. Traditionally, this course has been for women-only, but this year, we are opening it to all! We heard your requests and are answering the call!
This is a 2-day training that will be held at PCSWCD's Williamsburg Forest, Williamsburg, ME on Saturday September 30th and Sunday October 1st, from 9AM-4PM. This is a hands-on training, so all PPE - chaps, boots (steel toe recommended), gloves, head, ear and eye protection (forestry helmet) - are needed, along with a chainsaw. Topic covered will include saw maintenance, operation, basic cuts and felling. This course is capped at 8 participants, so early registration is recommended.
